Resumen

Introducción: Medicinal cannabis is currently being used in several countries, in Peru since 2019 its use has been regulated however the level of information and attitude for its use by doctors in the Lambayeque region is unknown.Objectives:The main objective of this research was to describe the knowledge and attitude of hospital doctors in the province of Chiclayo, Lambayeque region, on the medicinal use of Cannabis oil sp. Matheria and methods: The study population were the doctors who work in hospitals of Minsa and EsSalud in the province of Chiclayo, in December 2020 and January 2021 of the specialties of general medicine,internal medicine and others. A survey of 15 questions was conducted, divided into three sections: Sociodemographic factors, knowledge and attitude; it was validated by experts and had informed consent for its application. Results: It shows that 41,3% of the participating doctors show neutrality regarding their knowledge about the medicinal use of Cannabis sp oil. In addition, 46,3% of the doctors surveyed are indifferent to the medicinal use of Cannabis oil sp. 30% indicate that they disagree that a doctor of any specialty can prescribe Cannabis oil sp. for medicinal purposes and 68,8% disagree and totally disagree as to be considered efficient in prescribing Cannabis oil sp. Conclusions: It is concluded that only a third of doctors have an average knowledge about the medicinal use of Cannabis sp oil and are indifferent to its use for therapeutic purposes.
