Antibiotic prophylaxis with ceftriaxone and metronidazole (68.2 %); polyethylene glycol and enema (72.7 %) for bowel preparation and conventional approach (77.3 %), the configuration was terminal end (59.1 %), the type of suture was manual (59.1 %) and the operative time was greater than 180 min (59.1) and hypoproteinemia (59.9 %). Conclusions: Postoperative complications due to intestinal anastomosis surgery are frequent, mainly postoperative ileus. complicated patients presented a prolonged operative time and intraoperative transfusion was not a frequent characteristic.
